I have a nice, large drum from Coelingh & amp; Sons from Deventer.

Dimensions: length 32 cm, width 24 cm, height 15 cm. In the drum is a seal that reads, among other things, "anno 1842". It is not clear to me whether the drum was manufactured in this year. Does anyone have any idea of the value and "year of manufacture"?

Unfortunately, I now notice that I cannot post photos here. Can someone explain to me how to do this?

Thank you in advance!

The "Anno 1842" does not refer to the tin, but to the foundation of the company Coelingh & amp; Zonen.

Coelingh & amp; Zonen was absorbed by major competitor Bussink shortly before WWII.

Considering the fact that the stamp only mentions confectionery and no cake (from 1906 they also made 'Deventer cake' and was very proud of it) it seems a fairly old tin. My first conservative estimate is 1900 or earlier.

Thank you for your response.

I suspected this could be a fairly old drum, judging by the images and shape. In any case, it is a beautiful copy. Do you have an idea of the value?
