looks beautiful the entry of, among others, these sets:

5176663, 5176667 , 5176669 , 5176641 , 5176651 ,

but isn't it better to scan those cards in these packs 1 by 1 and enter the box separately?

Now it just seems to fill the catalog for sale, or ....

I have been collecting basketball cards (NBA) for 20 years and I have been able to catalog my collection as completely as possible (is this correct in Dutch) via the site [advertisement removed by moderator]

There you can upload a complete set at a time via Excel document with the list of the discussed set and then people can tick it to put the example in your wish list or must-have list and if this has not happened yet, scan the front and back ( .JPEG) and also upload in the set list

Hard to explain but easier to do

I would say from there you can watch and learn from (For example, sports cards should be separated from game and Movie cards, etc.)

Because I think it's really cool that we now also have a site like this in our low countries...

Grtz

Keep in mind that entries will be deleted without correct images. I see you are busy now.

@W1975

These sets, as you call them, are starter decks and are sold as such.

The cards they contain may already be listed separately on Catawiki in the relevant series.

Do not understand the comment that this is only filling of the catalog for sale? How should I view your contribution to Catawiki? Each time 1 football ticket from a series of 350 pieces that you offer for sale, please? Make a little effort to post the other cards or keep your comments to yourself from now on.

If unlawful things happen on Catawiki, with regard to the placing of items, there are enough administrators who will respond. I think.

No, but I find it extremely annoying that there are people who "blame" others for putting items on Catawiki for the sole purpose of selling and that is their own approach !!

The items mentioned are in my shop and posted by me, so I felt I should respond. It will also be a concern to me what everyone does on Catawiki. Finally, the option is offered to offer items for sale.

I once had contact with this user via another site about exchanging football cards, but was then told that he would rather sell instead of his collection. expandable by exchanging.

PRIMA! of course but don't comment on others who put their items up for sale. Perhaps a bit of jealousy? Not necessary for anything.

I also wish everyone a lot of SELLING and EXCHANGE pleasure on Catawiki (although the latter, if I have understood correctly, is not the intention!)

@majastrips

it is not a reproach to entering items.

As a collector, how can I see what is in such a deck when it is for sale?

Then it is better to put the cards in separately and then offer it as a starter deck.

Sorry, but if you were a collector (of Magic cards) you wouldn't ask that question

The content of such decks is quite easy to find out through specialized sites.

The content of such decks is fairly easy to find out through specialized sites.

And that's exactly what we try to be at CataWiki! Is the content of such a starter deck or box not listed on the box?

@ w1975 : If you have a question you can always ask it here. Majastrips is a bit short-sighted with her answer, because a stupid question cannot be asked. Only stupid answers can be given. ;)

@ majastrips : Even a collector can sometimes have a question. I myself collect a lot and therefore think I know a lot about many collecting areas. However, it often happens that I find out a new fact, or that my knowledge needs to be adjusted.

I also notice that you have scanned those Star Trek decks well, but those Magic decks look like stolen images. Could you post clearer images of that and preferably also 1 image with the back of the suit, as you did with Star Trek?

@ DisneyMeentwijc : thank you for your response to this discussion.

How everyone keeps track of his collection or sells articles is of no importance to me. But if I see something I don't understand, as a member I can still ask something or set something in motion here.

Reactions like the above deprive me of the pleasure of continuing here to fill the catalog (or the shop) and I will not argue with that, that is a waste of my energy.

I'm even looking for the delete account button.

@ w1975 : As I said, some people at CataWiki are quite quick to step on their toes, other people respond very aggressively or negatively because they have had rather bad experiences answering questions on this forum. Everyone has their own reason for being unable to respond to a question.

You have to remember that these are just words and most of them are just "members" to put their passion into this. That could be by keeping his collection, selling items or putting them up for auction. Others would like to provide their expertise to people who have questions and help with correctly entering data in CataWiki. Usually the latter also have the ambition to become the manager of their collecting area or already are.

Don't let some negative reactions influence you so much and just continue with your passion, selling trading cards and album pictures as far as I can see. You can leave your comments here on the forum and of course also all your questions. If you really can't figure it out, you can always send an e-mail to info at CataWiki dot nl.

If it concerns questions about the Catalog and the help section (see the bottom of each page for the link (frequently asked questions)) does not help and it cannot be found in the forum, then Arco can also help you.

If you are fed up with CataWiki for some reason, which you don't need to share with everyone, and you want to stop using it, the link to delete your profile is on the right side of your profile information. Scroll all the way down and above the text Check us out on P g+ it says Delete my account.

I hope it is now sufficiently clear to you and also to those who may have or have had a similar experience.

PS. Another tip for your profile if you want to stay, it might also be useful to mention your shop text in your profile text as well. It is my experience that the shop information can be found in too many clicks.

Come on, don't let that easily fool you!

I see that have been working on CW for about 5 years and have already entered over 6000 items, I would say well done :-)

@ DisneyMeentwijc @ metalfigures

thank you, nothing more human than emotion that can be leading. The first thought was indeed to think of finding it out, but the catalog needs to be filled and the energy can be better put into it.

And even though I always carry 1 football ticket from a series 350 pieces that I then offer for sale (see album pictures / tradincards for references I think :)), my duplicates go first in the catalog and only then the pasted ones. So that takes time.

It's been a long time since the last comment was made in this topic, but no shot is always wrong :). I have a question that is very much related to the discussion here.

I have a Star Wars Galaxy Factory Delux Set. All cards are (unlike the regular set) melatic/foil, there are a few extras that are not included in the regular set; an extra holo-card, a signed card and of course the plastic box/holder in the shape of the Millenium Falcon. The idea of such a set is that you buy it complete (to be honest, there is not much trading card left in this way) these cards have never been for sale in packs.

How do I enter such a set? Card by card, or as a whole set?

@CarlovanLeeuwen

to fill the catalog, I would always put them in card by card. This gives you a nice overview of what is in a certain collection and that makes it interesting for collectors to look for one of the cards.

If you enter it as a complete set, you will go for it. specific for the collectors of that series because they know what is in the set.
