At the moment, the title, the artist/band and the carrier are the mandatory parts that you must fill in.
I am in favor of making the release number, label and tracks mandatory.
So you shouldn't be able to add an item without entering this information (just as you can't without selecting a carrier)
Too often I see items where this does not happen.
It is a small effort to look at your item for this information, and to enter it when you add an item to the catalog.

Pooh, that will be a lot of work on CDs, you know, a complete tracklist.
I did do that with the vinyl singles that I entered, but that is much less work.
Can't you live with a neat scan on which all this information can also be read? If this scan is not available, typing in a tracklist is well worth it.
As long as it is not possible to search for data from the track list, the added value of a typed version compared to a scanned version is not entirely clear.
Release number and label is less effort.

you can read this data on the scans
but why enter this data on vinyl and not on CDs and other sources?
I think uniformity is important for the entire website
in addition, you can look up the tracklist on the internet, and then cut and paste it into the tracklist of your item
also a small effort

Indeed copy and paste via the internet. And especially CDs can be found there
old vinyl is much more difficult
And you still have your own copy at hand, so it is not really a lot of work
if there ever comes a track search function, you are already on the right track.
