Deze beurs vond zijn oorsprong in het najaar van 1996, onder de naam Dutch Spotters Convention (DSC). Al jaren is het dé plaats voor de Nederlandse luchtvaartenthousiast om allerlei luchtvaartgerelateerde zaken te kopen, te verkopen of te ruilen.
De luchtvaartbeurs vindt net als vorig jaar plaats in het Regardz Airport Hotel Rotterdam, tegenover de oprijlaan naar Rotterdam The Hague Airport.In het hotel zullen tientallen stands zijn opgesteld met dia’s, foto’s, video’s, boeken, tijdschriften, DVD’s/CD’s, ansichtkaarten, vliegtuigmodellen en vele andere verzamelobjecten gerelateerd aan de luchtvaart. Ook andere verenigingen en bedrijven verbonden met de luchtvaart en luchtvaarthobby zullen aanwezig zijn.
Gedurende de dag kunnen bezoekers rondritten maken over het platform voor het maken van foto’s en een blik ‘achter de schermen’ van de luchthaven werpen. Hiervoor dienen bezoekers zich vooraf aan te melden op de website van Rotterdam The Hague Airport.
Om tussendoor even bij te komen van alle actie is de bar van het hotel een prima plaats om even onder het genot van een kop koffie en/of een broodje bij te praten met vrienden en collega-hobbyisten.
Voor elke luchtvaartliefhebber is er wel iets te doen, dus AIRnieuws Nederland en de Dutch Aviation Society nodigen dan ook iedereen van harte uit om op zaterdag 19 april 2014 naar het Regardz Airport Hotel Rotterdam te komen.
Het hotel is per auto bereikbaar via snelweg A13. Bezoekers van de luchtvaartbeurs kunnen parkeren op het terrein van het hotel.Dit is de eerste 30 minuten gratis en kost €2 het eerste uur daarna €1 per uur. Een dagkaart kost €5,-.

Als Catawiki in 2005 had bestaan, dan had ik een heleboel KLM spullen gehad, maar die heb ik toen voor een habbekrats op marktplaats verkocht. Mijn tante had een hele verzameling krantenberichten en allerlei andere dingen over de KLM uit die tijd.
Helaas, helaas. Beter om daar maar niet meer aan denken.
Ik heb nog wel een boek 4507269 dat in een soort romanvorm over de opleiding tot stewardes bij de KLM gaat, staan mooie oude foto's van de KLM in.

Ik heb tussen de spullen van een overleden tante een folder/dienstregeling "Naar Zeeland per KLM 1933 1 met t/m 18 september" gevonden. Er staat ook nog enige info in over een paar steden o.a. Middelburg, Vlissingen, Zierikzee, Domburg. Mijn tante vloog regelmatig met de KLM in de jaren dertig, heb daar ook nog fotootjes van.
8 dubbelgevouwen geniete blaadjes, dus 16 pagina's.
Heeft zoiets nog enige verzamel/verkoop waarde of kan ie in de prullebak.

Among the belongings of a deceased aunt I found a folder / timetable "To Zeeland by KLM 1933 1 through September 18". There is also some information about a few cities including Middelburg, Vlissingen, Zierikzee, Domburg. My aunt regularly flew with KLM in the 1930s, I also have photos of that.
