On January 8, 1925, the first official predecessor of the Avrobode, the Radio Luistergids, sees the light.
On June 1, 1927, the first issue of the first volume of De Aetherbode, Officieel Orgaan van den Algemeenen Nederlandschen Radio Omroep, published: BV "De Radio-Omroep", editor: Willem Vogt, address: Keizersgracht 396, Amsterdam.
A year later the name is changed to (De) AVRO Radiobode, also known as (De) Radiobode for short, and in 1958 to Avrobode.
In May 1967 the entire Avrobode is included in the Televizier, the other magazine of the AVRO. The center pages in both sheets are the same and then have double page numbers. The black page numbers are from the Televizier, the white numbers in a black box are from the Avrobode. The front cover of the Avrobode is also printed in the Televizier, but is part of the 'Free News Gathering' section there.
