Cogétama was the main brand of a cigar factory located at Kerkstraat in Knesselare (Belgium). First known as: Etabl. Cogétama-Néron and later N.V. Marec. More

Leonard Vande Walle started a cigar factory in Ghent in 1853.
In 1873 a workshop was opened on the Nieuwstraat in Knesselare as a subdivision of the factory of Leonard Vande Walle.
In 1901 Hilaire and Maurice Vande Walle took over their father's business and the following year they built the current factory 'Néron' in Kerkstraat in Knesselare.
First known as: Etabl. Cogétama-Néron and later NV Marec and again later by Cogétama.

The factory closed on June 30, 1983 under pressure from Tabacofina holding, which then owned more than half of the Belgian cigar industry.
