UFO

UFO was the first science fiction series with real actors from producers Sylvia and Gerry Anderson. With actors like Ed Bishop, George Sewell, Michael Billington and Gabrielle Drake, the English series had a beautiful cast. With their ultra-secret elite unit SHADO, they protect the earth from aliens who are after the organs of the inhabitants of the earth.

Monty Gum released a series of cards, where three pictures were added to a piece of chewing gum. There are 64 large cards and 71 small cards to stick in the album. These pictures are a combined edition of two English sets of chewing gum pictures.

In England the 64 large cards were issued by Anglo Confectionery/Century 21. These cards were identical to the Monty cards except for the small text from the publishers on the front and that the backs of the 64 pictures were puzzle pieces for a large colour picture.

Geo Bassett & Co Ltd. Sheffield issued the series of small cards in England in 1970. On the back a description of the scenes on the front of the pictures. The same cards are also available with Barratt & Co Ltd. London as copyright on the back of the cards.

In Germany, Italy and England the series was enormously popular and even cinema films were cut together from the episodes of the series.

Also the Italian Panini jumped on the success of the series and released an album with stickers of UFO that was sold in Italy, Germany and Belgium but also in Yugoslavia. These albums differed in text inside, but also the front and back of the album sometimes had small differences.

The numbering, pictures and text on the back of the stickers were identical in all countries. The album had space for 400 stickers that together formed the story of several episodes from the series.
The pictures were from the episodes:
Identified (1-59)
Exposed (60-97)
Close Up (98-148)
Court Maryial (149-187)
Conflict (188-245)
The Dalotek Affair (246-298)
Sub Smash (299-338)
Survival (339-400).

In Japan, several kits of the series were released, the series was released complete on Laser Disc and is still famous today.

Identified (1-59)

Exposed (60-97)

Close Up (98-148)

Court Maryial (149-187)

Conflict (188-245)

The Dalotek Affair (246-298)

Sub-Smash (299-338)

Survival (339-400).
