Floris was a Dutch adventure television series from 1969 about knight Floris and his friend Sindala by director Paul Verhoeven. More

In 1969, Floris was the most expensive but also the most successful Dutch television series to date. Paul Verhoeven directed the television series starring Rutger Hauer as Floris van Rosemondt and Jos Bergman as his intelligent friend Sindala.

The NTS wanted a television series, just like the American Ivanhoe (1958), the French Thierry la Fronde (1963) and the Belgian Johan en de Alverman (1965).
