The syntpop band Icehouse was originally formed in Australia in 1977 under the name Flowers. Flowers was primarily a pub rock and cover band. They released the album Icehouse in 1980. It wasn't until 1981 that the band's name was changed to Icehouse. The album Icehouse was then re-released under the band name Icehouse, with a different order of the songs. The line-up of the band at that time was: Iva Davies (vocals, keyboard and lead guitar), Keith Welsh (bass), Anthony Smith (keyboard) and John Lloyd (drums). Both before and after 1981, the band went through many personnel changes. Icehouse's second album with Primitive Man followed in 1982. The world hit Hey Little Girl can be found on this. In 1983 followed the EP Fresco with again Hey Little Girl and 4 other songs. After that, the band released 6 more studio albums: Sidewalk (1984), Measure for Measure (1986), their most commercially successful album Man of Colors (1987), Code Blue (1990), Big Wheel (1993) and The Berlin Tapes.
