Central Congo or Central Congo (French: Moyen-Congo) was a French colonial territory in Central Africa. It has been the independent republic of Congo-Brazzaville since 1960.

Central Congo was established when the French Congo (Congo Français) colony founded in 1880 was divided into two separate colonial territories, Gabon and Central Congo, in 1906. In 1910, the colonial federation of French Equatorial Africa was established, in which Central Congo was one of four territories. Each of these territories was governed by a lieutenant governor who came under the governor of French Equatorial Africa.

The first issue of its own stamp dates from 1907.

In 1946 it became an overseas territory and in 1958 an autonomous republic within the French Community with the nationalist Fulbert Youlou, a former priest, as prime minister. In 1960 Congo gained full independence and the Republic of Congo (Congo-Brazzaville) was proclaimed.
