Rovex (=Tri-ang-Hornby) started developing English models together with Lima in 1966 under the name Wrenn. In 1972, Lima went on alone. In 1977 Eisenmann & Co became the representative. From 1983-85 Richard Kohnstamm (RIKO) took over. .  More

Wrenn

Rovex (=Tri-ang-Hornby) wanted to include track N in his program without investing much. An agreement was therefore concluded with Lima to jointly develop English models under the name Wrenn. The first set consisted of an electric locomotive Al6 class 81 with goods or passenger cars. Later more English models followed. In 1972 the agreement was broken and Lima continued alone with Wrenn, which in the meantime also included European and American models. In 1977 Eisenmann & Co became the new representative in England who now marketed the range as Lima. In the following years new English models were introduced, such as diesel locomotives, a steam locomotive and wagons. However, the quality lagged behind what appeared elsewhere on the market, causing sales to fall. In 1983 Richard Kohnstamm Ltd (RIKO) took over the business but that did not make it either and in 1985 the representation in England ended and in 1988 it was over for Lima itself.

Rovex (=Tri-ang-Hornby) wanted to incorporate N gauge into their program without investing too much. So they agreed with Lima to develop British models under the name of Wrenn. The first set consisted of an electric locomotive Al6 class 81 with goods wagons or passenger coaches. Later more British models followed. In 1972 the agreement was broken and Lima continued with Wrenn in which also European and American models were incorporated. In 1977 Eisenmann & Co became the new agent in Britain who continued the assortment but under the name of Lima. During the next years new British models were introduced such as diesel locomotives, a steam locomotive and wagons. However quality did not match to what was appearing elsewhere on the market so sales decreased. In 1983 Richard Kohnstamm Ltd (RIKO) took over the business but he did not make it as well and in 1985 representation in Britain stopped and in 1985 it was over and out for Lima themselves.
