The KLF was a techno band from Great Britain that scored various major hits, primarily in Europe, from 1989 to 1992.

The founders of The KLF were Bill Drummond and Jimmy Cauty, who scored a hit in 1988 as The Timelords with a cover of the theme from the television series Dr. Who, "Doctorin' The Tardis." This song reached the number 1 position in England.

They also wrote a book about their process of making this hit, The Manual (How to have a Number One The easy way - The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu reveal their zenarchistic method used in making the unthinkable happen).
