Paul Cuvelier worked extensively with models. In 1966, Anne was his model: the girlfriend of Jean Van Hamme. The latter was passionate about comics and allowed himself to be persuaded to write a script. At Cuvelier's request, he devised "Epoxy," an erotic-mythological story. The album was released in May 1968 by Eric Losfeld (the publisher of Barbarella, among others), but it met with little success.

Epoxy is a young woman who, completely naked, walks around in a mythological universe. In Eric Losfeld's edition, each sequence of her initiation journey is colored differently to better mark the stages.

While sailing alone aboard a sailboat off the Greek islands, Epoxy is thrown into the sea following an accident with a yacht, which immediately fishes her out of the water in a net. A topless woman with an eyepatch then takes her to her master Koltar, who is described as repulsive but remains hidden in a small spherical room. After likely involving her in his bacchanals, he delivers her as a sacrifice to the old gods.
This is when Epoxy begins a timeless adventure. She is shipwrecked on the coast of a mythical land, where she is immediately abducted by the Amazons, whose queen Hippolyte takes her as her lover...

In 1966, Jean Van Hamme, an engineer and director of a multinational (a company that also sells products made with epoxy), meets painter and draftsman Paul Cuvelier. After discussing his taste for the female body, ancient culture, and erotica, Paul Cuvelier persuades Jean Van Hamme to provide him with a script heading in that direction, without giving up his dream of having Corentin experience new adventures. Van Hamme therefore devises a story that blends fantasy and mythology and recounts the initiation trials of a beautiful woman who ends up in the world of the ancient Greek gods.
But when the album appeared in May 1968, the revolution in comics, which began with Barbarella in 1964 (by Jean-Claude Forest), which was still banned for minors by censorship, had already taken place and the attention had waned.

The publication of Epoxy was successful only with critics at the time. Nevertheless, it is one of the first erotic heroines of Franco-Belgian comics, a unique work by Paul Cuvelier, and the first published scenario by Jean van Hamme.

Epoxy was published directly as an album in 1968 by Éric Losfeld's publishing house Le terrain vage. This comic, with a different accent color in each chapter.

De publicatie van Epoxy kende destijds alleen succes bij de critici. Toch is het één van de eerste erotische heldinnen van Frans-Belgische strip, een uniek werk van Paul Cuvelier en het eerste gepubliceerde scenario van Jean van Hamme.

Epoxy werd in 1968 rechtstreeks als album gepubliceerd door de Uitgeverij Le terrain vage van Éric Losfeld. Deze strip, met bij elk hoofdstuk een andere steunkleur.
