dr. Kurt Moser lived in Innsbruck in Austria. In 1981 he became Kato importer. Shortly after, he started producing his own models under the name Hobbytrain in collaboration with Kato. In 1988 he took over all N-track models from Lima. He had two aims in doing so. Firstly, he wanted to improve the quality of the models and secondly, he wanted to market a separate series of cheaper models in order to be able to make small series. This series was called Minibahn. It consisted of German, French and Italian Lima models as well as the new models already announced by Lima. dr. Moser succeeded in producing these new models (eg the Swiss NPZ electric multiple unit and the German VT08 diesel multiple unit). In 1990, however, he closed the business. The former Lima series including its newly developed models went back to Lima in Italy.

Dr. Kurt Moser woonde in Innsbruck in Oostenrijk.
