Röwa H0 appeared in 1968. Willy Ade, the owner, had already gained a lot of experience with the construction of plastic models. In 1969 there were also N models. In 1974 Röwa went bankrupt but in 1976 Willy started again with the ADE brand.  More

Röwa

Röwa is a Willy Ade brand. But not the only one. He started manufacturing plastic houses in H0 in the early 1950s under the brand Wiad, the initial letters of his name. When he was able to get commissions from Trix, Kibri, Herpa and Noch in 1959, he sold Wiad and founded Röwa Plastik GmbH together with Horst Röchling. The first letters of their names can also be found in this brand. After the divorce from Trix in 1968, he started using the name Röwa Supermodell for his own models. In 1969 American and German N models were added to the range. The American models were also sold under the MRC label. The production of N track lasted a short time: until 1971. Some models can later be found at other brands such as Trix, Bemo, Roco and Con-Cor. In 1971 he agreed with Rokal to rebuild the complete TT program. However, that went wrong. When Rokal went bankrupt in 1974 due to reduced sales of car parts, Röwa was dragged into bankruptcy. Except for a few images in the catalog, there have never been TT models. The molds went to Roco, the rails to Conrad (and later to Hartel) and the T3 locomotive to Merker.
In 1976 Willy Ade entered the market again with the ADE brand with super-detailed H0 passenger cars, both as a kit and roadworthy. He also designed the Danish Hobby Trade diesel locomotives. Until his death in 2011, he was an inspiring designer and an example to others.
