In the snowy steppe of the Soviet Union, Tintin makes his first flight on the Polikarpov I-1! The plane will operate correctly thanks to its powerful 400 HP engine, but when lightning strikes it, the design flaws – overweight and instability – become apparent. The plane dives and crashes, nose to the ground. Tintin and Snowy will emerge unscathed from the accident. They even managed to put the plane back on its wheels.
