Since 2016, the original Tanqueray has been the best-selling gin in the world, and for good reason! It has great provenance and was first distilled in 1830 by Charles Tanqueray & co in the Bloomsbury area of London.
The rare Rangpur Lime is an ingenious choice to bring a distinct and bold flavor to this variant of Tanqueray, their Rangpur Edition. It has the spiciness of lime and the juiciness of mandarin, giving the drinker a whole new citrus experience.
This variety was first produced in 2006 and has won numerous awards for its interesting flavor profile. It has a fresh taste, which is amazing with the main taste of orange and top notes of lime. These blend perfectly with background notes of licorice, ginger and a hint of bay leaf.
Interesting fact… the Rangpur lime is a hybrid cross of the mandarin and the citron (one of the original citrus fruits). It has orange flesh and rind and a sour taste (similar to lime).
