In 1986 publishing house Indira from Jakarta introduced Suske en Wiske in Indonesia. Two albums were released that year under the series title Bobby dan Wanda. The names in the title are a mixture of terms used in other languages. Bobby is derived from French, in which Suske as Bob is known. Wiske received the same name in these Indonesian releases as in the albums that were released in America in the 1970s, Wanda, As was the case with other publications in foreign languages, the Indonesian publisher also had plans to publish more volumes. A number of stories were announced on the back of the albums, which, however, never appeared. The planned albums were: Perkumpulan Tuf-Tuf (The Tuftuf Club) Penjinak Banteng (The bull tamer) Kapal Perompak (The clapping clipper) Berandal Berandal Texas (The Texas Rucksacks) Burung Hantu Putih (The White Owl)
