Released June 1970, retired 1976. Total number of copies sold: 513.000. This is an 'updated' version of #335 (1968). The opening doors are gone, the exhaust has changed from metal to plastic and the metal spoked wheels have been replaced by plastic whizzwheels... and even more (and a bit confusing) - there were actually 3 different models made of this car. Two 4.2 versions (one red and one yellow) looking exactly like the old version, with the 'degradations' mentioned above, AND the third version (the one pictured here) a v12 5.3. This one has a new, updated grill and headlights, as well as a quite detailed version of the v12 engine. Another change is the brown interior (used to be black). In trade for that, it has lost the bonnet mirrors and all underside detail: the exhausts are now molded in the baseplate, which has changed from body-colored metal to black plastic. The confusing part of all this is, that these three models all share the same catalogue number, in spite of the big differences mentioned above. The third photo shows the baseplate of the V12.
