Celebrate the 30th anniversary of Star Wars: Droids: The Adventures of R2-D2 and C-3PO with these jumbo sized versions of the vintage Kenner figures. The animated series, set 15 years before they meet Luke Skywalker on Tatooine, find the droid duo jumping across the galaxy trying to return to the House of Alderaan. Along the way they must face off against gangsters, criminals, pirates and agents of the fearsome Galactic Empire. Even the feared bounty hunters Boba Fett and IG-88 have the droids in their crosshairs from time to time... Gentle Giant Ltd. officially revealed their Droids Artoo-Detoo (R2-D2) Jumbo Kenner action figure in their booth at Star Wars Celebration: Anaheim 2015. The figure was slated to be one of their 2015 San Diego Comic-Con exclusives, but made a small amount available for pre-order for their Premier Guild Members on June 4, 2015. This figure was based on the classic Kenner 3 3/4-inch action figure of the same name released in 1985.
