Details
Burgundy The Rover P4 was the first post-Second World War new body style to be launched by Rover. It was launched in 1949 and early models were known as ‘cyclops’ on account of the additional fog-light mounted centrally on the radiator grille. The P4 gained a reputation for being well-built and reliable, if somewhat ‘stodgy’. Hence the nickname of ‘Auntie’s Rover’. Despite the introduction of the new P5 bodystyle in 1958, the P4 continued to sell well until discontinued in 1964.
