Original political cartoon on card in pen and ink, published in the Eastern Daily Press, 1973, shows Father Time being given a good kicking along the road to ‘oblivion’ by ‘all of us’. 1973 had been a miserable year for many in and outside Britain - ‘terrorism’, ‘war’, ‘inflation’, ‘industrial strife’ - and most were glad to see the ‘back of it’. Card size 31 x 24.5 cm (12 x 10 inch), image size 28 x 23 cm, signed lower right, typed caption in lower border. In very good condition.
