Original political cartoon on card in pen and ink, published in the Eastern Daily Press, 1973, shows British ‘management’ and ‘labour’ taking part in the ‘International Industrial Championship’ and being left far behind by ‘Britains’ competitors’ while the world looks on. Conflicts between labour (trade unions) and management were partly responsible for the ‘3 day week’ and were a major handicap in Britain’s attempts to be economically competitive with the rest of the world. Card size 30 x 25 cm (12 x 10 inch), image size 28 x 23 cm, signed lower right, typed caption in lower border. Date stamped 29 Dec 1973 on verso. In very good condition.
