Original drawing on paper in pen and ink, around 1961, possibly published in the Saturday Evening Post or the New York Times, of General Nasution who served as Minister of Defence in the period 1959-66. Drawing on white paper is pasted onto a larger piece of paper which has a stamped New York address on verso. Kroll, who left Germany in 1933 when the Nazis came to power, became a ‘celebrity caricaturist’ in the USA who drew caricatures of thousands of public figures in America and around the world. ‘Duplicate’ written in ink in lower right border. Paper size 15 x 10 cm (6 x 4 inch), image size 7.5 x 5 cm, signed lower right. In good condition.
