Original drawing on paper in pen and ink, around 1961, possibly published in the Saturday Evening Post or the New York Times, of Amintore Fanfani, a Christian Democrat politician who was Prime Minister of Italy a number of times during his career. Drawing on white paper is pasted onto a larger piece of paper which has a stamped New York address on verso. Kroll, who left Germany in 1933 when the Nazis came to power, became a ‘celebrity caricaturist’ in the USA who drew caricatures of thousands of public figures in America and around the world. Paper size 14 x 10 cm (5.5 x 4 inch), image size 10 x 7 cm, signed lower right. In good condition.
