Original editorial cartoon on card in pen/brush and ink, published in the Omaha World Herald, 1992, shows many corpses and a ‘Serbian Nationalist’ who is saying “Try not to think of this as a ‘bloodbath’... rather think of it as an ‘ethnic cleansing’. Although not new, this term came into vogue among the Serbian leadership to describe their actions in Bosnia during the wars in the former Yugoslavia, even though it also involved mass murder, and has since become an established term to define intimidation, forced expulsion and/or killing of an undesired ethnic group. Card size 38 x 28 cm (15 x 11 inch), image size 32 x 22 cm, signed and dated lower right. In excellent condition.
