Original editorial cartoon on card in pen/brush and ink, published in the Omaha World Herald, 1995, shows the Clinton's skating on thin ice on the ‘Whitewater’ rink. President Clinton asks ‘Do you hear something Hillary?’ as ‘cracks’ begin to appear in the ice. The Whitewater scandal began with investigations into the real estate investments of Bill and Hillary Clinton and their associates in the Whitewater Development Corporation, a failed business venture in the 1970s and 1980s. Allegations of wrong-doing dogged the Clintons for several more years, although ultimately they were never charged with any criminal offence. Card size 38 x 28 cm (15 x 11 inch), image size 32 x 22 cm, signed and dated upper left. In excellent condition.
