Original editorial cartoon done on card in pen/brush and ink, 1939, no indication where this might have been published, shows AF of L (American Federation of Labor) President William Green arm in arm with industry, which has sustained injuries from "Taxes" and "Roosevelt - aches & pains." It depicts the pro-business stance of Green, who is depicted as offering ‘business-like sane, calm leadership’. Green is holding a paper that says, "Green calls Labor to fight ‘isms’, which may refer to Green's pragmatic pro-business and anti-communist stance. Overall card and image size 53 x 36 cm (21 x 14 inch), no caption, signed bottom right. In very good condition.
