Kim Ki-duk [1] (Bongwha, December 20, 1960) is a South Korean film director. From 1990 to 1992 he studied in Paris. After returning to Korea, Kim started as a screenwriter. In 1993 he won first prize in a competition of the Screenwriting Training Institute.
