The artist and graphic artist Isaac Naarden was born in Amsterdam on April 16, 1902. He was educated at the Academy of Visual Arts in Amsterdam, where he was taught by A.J. Derkinderen and J.H. Jurres. Naarden was a member of the Sint-Lucas guild in Amsterdam and the Gooische Painters Association.
