Originally presented in Amazing Spider-Man #121.
Together with it's successor, this story deals with perhaps the biggest crisis (turning point) in the existence of Spider-Man:
the death of Gwen Stacy, followed by the death of the Green Goblin.
It would inspire Marvel to whole new stroy lines -with new Green Goblins, as well as with the Jackal and the parade of clones that he created- where they (Marvel) would fall back on several times for the next 20 years!
