This is because the Dutch front cover was reused for those reprints where "était ici" was erased everywhere. The palm leaf at the top left without veins also comes from there: in Dutch the text appeared there when the price was printed on the right from the 1955 edition. The veins were then omitted, but for the French shorter text this was not necessary at all.

1) Afwisselend blauw - rood - groen - bruin gekleurd 2) op deze eerste Franstalige frontcover staat 6 keer "Beo était ici"; op de twee herdrukken staat enkel "Beo" (maar 1 keer is "était ici" nog half leesbaar op de rugzak van Nero). Dat komt omdat men de Nederlandstalige frontcover heeft hergebruikt voor die herdrukken waar "était ici" overal was gewist. Het palmblad linksboven zonder nerven is daar ook van afkomstig: in het Nederlands kwam de tekst daar in te staan toen men er rechts de prijs had bijgedrukt vanaf de uitgave van 1955. Men heeft toen de nerven weggelaten, maar voor de Franse kortere tekst was dat helemaal niet nodig.
