Godfried Jan Arnold Bomans (The Hague, March 2, 1913 - Bloemendaal, December 22, 1971) was a Dutch writer and media personality. Bomans was the most widely read writer in the Netherlands for many years. He has more than 60 books and many other writings to his credit. He received little official recognition during his lifetime, at least not in the form of a literary prize. Literary critics are still not sure what to do with him.
