Details

Belgian singer, born as Ludwig Neefs on August 8, 1937 in Gierle and died on December 25, 1980. Initially he was a singer with various orchestras, before releasing a first record in 1950 under the name "Lode Celis". He also used the pseudonym "Ludwig Könner". Lyricist Ke Riema discovered his talent and that's how a first hit came out "If I could start my life again". He was twice in the Eurovision Song Contest, in 1967 with "Oh Oh, I have worries" and in 1969 with "Jennifer Jennings". In the Netherlands he reached the charts with "Margrietje" and "Martine". He was also a presenter of several TV programs for a while. Louis Neefs still had many plans, but a car accident in Lier, 1980, decided otherwise.
