Bezige Bij is also from 1947, with the original title. Illustration dust jacket presumably by Rein van Looij, same style as "A view into Cannery Row" which also appeared in 1947. Volgens KB de 1e Nederlandse editie met ( een tiental zwart-wit) illustraties ( zie historie) . Onduidelijk wat de 1e Nederlandse druk is geweest. Bezige Bij is ook uit 1947, met de oorspronkelijke titel.
Illustratie stofomslag vermoedelijk door Rein van Looij, zelfde stijl als "een blik in Cannery Row "welke ook in 1947 verscheen. Illustraties in het boek niet door van Looij.
