Every page adorned with beautiful chromolithographic illustrations of Victorian life in London. The quality and nature of the Thomas Crane illustration are very much of their day, with similar colouring and impression to his contempories such as Walter Crane (his brother) and Kate Greenaway. There are some wonderful views of the Tower of London, Covent Garden, The British Museum and the Zoo - all captured at the end of the 19th century.
