Details
The Y-5 1927 Talbot Van joined the range in 1978 and appeared in no lees than 10 different liveries, It usually had black plastic seats and a black chassis, The grille and windscreen frame were chrome plated but a few versions had these components in gold plated plastic. When production moved to macau the "made in England" baseplate was changed to "made in Macau". It had no casting variations until the last (Lyle's) issue and that had the horizontal dividing line removed from the side of the van body. It was replaced by the Y5-5 Leyland Titan bus in 1989. The third livery (1980) was "Taystee", It was painted yellow body & chassis with a black roof with either red or dark red 12 spoke wheels, Later the chassis was changed to black and this version can be found with both types of red wheels and also the solid red plastic wheels. Taystee decals without a white border are promotional "American Bakeries" issues.
