Catalogue information
Ronson Queen Anne was probably the best-selling table lighter in the world. It has been manufactured since the late 1930's, first as a petrol lighter later as a gas lighter. The gas lighter described here was produced from 1961 to 1980. This was one of the few table lighters that adhered to the eighteenth century Anglican style despite the fast changing trends. The base of the lighter is made of a heavy metal covered with a thick layer of silver. The base is filled with green felt, and the silver layer is protected by a transparent varnish that often partially deteriorates (spots, the white, yellow or brown shade). Also available in a gold-colored version
