The MG ZT was, like the most MG saloons from its birth of the marque, based on a less sporting vehicle from its parent manufacturer, in this case the Rover 75. With 190 BHP, shorter gearing and stiffer suspension, the ZT was a serious drivers car. With a 0-60 time of 7.7 seconds and a top speed of 140 mph it did not disappoint.
