Please Please me 1963 This is the first stereo pressing on April 26, 1963, four weeks after the Mono release on March 22. I Saw Her Standing There, Misery, You Want To Know A Secret and There's A Place have the signature Dick James Music credit. Wrongly. This must be Northern Songs Ltd. This was later restored. Also notice McCartney-Lennon. Reversed later. The Parlophone logo is still the fifties gold font. That would change during the breakthrough of The Beatles. There seem to be some 800 to 1000 ?? copies of this version. (Mono was still the standard then) in those very first weeks. Very rare, certainly in a fair condition. Not surprising that hefty prices are paid for it.
