The Intellivision (= Intelligent Television) was one of the most important Second Generation video game consoles. The Intellivision was market leader together with the Atari 2600, the Philips Videopac and later on the Colecovision. In 1983 sales started dropping as a consquence of the USA Video Game Crash and in 1984 production was discontinued. In 1983 the Intellivision 2 was introduced without much commercial succes. More than 3 million units were sold and 125 games were released.
