The CDTV (Commodore Dymamic Total Vision) was basically an Amiga 500 with built-in CD-Rom player. It was a 'hybrid' computer/game console/multimedia unit in the same category as the Philips CDi. Just like the Philips CDi it never became a commercial succes. Production was discontinued in 1993 when it was succeeded by the Amiga CD32, a pure and simple video game console.
