The game was originally developed by SNK for the Neo Geo (AES and MVS). Later on it was released on various platforms. Because of the commotion about violence in video games it was censored on most home consoles. The color and amount of blood visible was modified and some animations were modified or removed. The 3DO version was the first (and only ?) port that contained the original uncensored graphics.
