The Machin pane (DP553) is not identical to those in the original and first limited edition of this book. It seems that the panes had to be specially printed. The Machin DP553 booklet pane shows the iridescent code MPIL / M19L. The P is present and the year has changed.
Except for the 1p stamp, which later appeared in the 'Visions of the Universe' prestige stamp book (DB5(84)), the other three values, 20p, £1.25 and £1.45 exist nowhere else with the MPIL / M19L iridescent code. All the stamps have parts of the cachet present, so do not exist in totally mint condition.
