Painted ostrich egg with the image of various Kappie and Bommel figures. After the surface of the egg had been specially treated, the backgrounds and figures were added in pencil. Then those sketches were inked onto the egg. Then the whole thing was colored, much in color contour. Sometimes no inking was done, but everything was done in color contour. Finally, a thin layer of varnish was applied over it for protection. In order to exhibit the eggs in display cases, the egg was secured in a wooden "foot".

Beschilderd struisvogel-ei met de afbeelding van diverse Kappie- en Bommelfiguren
Nadat de oppervlakte van het ei speciaal was behandeld werden de achtergronden en de figuren er in potlood op gezet. Vervolgens werden die schetsen op het ei geïnkt.
Daarna werd het geheel ingekleurd, veel in kleurcontour. Soms werd niet geïnkt maar alles in kleur contour gedaan.
Afgerond werd er ter bescherming een dunne laag vernis overheen gezet.
Om de eieren in vitrines te kunnen exposeren werd het ei vastgezet in een houten "voetje".
