What struck me, in this section,

Brand names and that is usually the case, in this section, often, very often without a capital letter. Are there agreements about this?

Often also the abbreviations of brands. Also no capital letters

Gives a sloppy look

Also the countries: no popup field, resulting in strange country abbreviations. More idea of a sticker on the back of the car is not really uniform, which would have been said for some time within Catawiki.

In addition, I have already suggested that a possibility to make Catawiki wide the possibility to easily recognize logos, especially with pins, is it often an image, abbreviation, but what does it stand for?

The general convention is - as far as I know - that a title starts with a capital letter. Brand names also as far as I'm concerned.

Lately some users have entered a lot with (unfortunately) little info and indeed without capital letters. When reviewing, I correct that standard and I send the importers a request to be more careful, but I do not reject it.

The wide variety of ways to photograph or scan pins also makes the section cluttered, but I don't see a way to fix that in the short term.

There is still an awful lot of work to be done on this section and unfortunately my free time is not unlimited.

And having my wrist in a cast since this week doesn't really help either :-(

Peter I will first wish you strength with your wrist.

But it would make a difference if the country table were uniform.

I also know that a lot of users adjust it if you ask them to, but it is a waste of time. All double work.

And whatever you indicate, there is still a lot of work within this section.

Hence my comment.

Restoring later takes a lot of time.

Yes scanning is indeed a problem that I have encountered myself,

(and I need some more)

but very important for management take only to assess the material

I understand that work is being done on a central country list that can be used in all sections.

(Curious shift in the messages here. Is that because I supplemented my answer afterwards?)

Yes, that is indeed the intention, but that intention has been running for a long time and this can be widely used by Catawiki and then there will be sections that some countries cannot use.

Countries that no longer existed in 1980 will not be necessary for CD / DVDs etc.

and vice versa will also occur. but this central list was long overdue.

The central country list is indeed still being worked on. So apparently the time of a message is changed when you edit the message later?

indeed yesterday I noticed that suddenly there were 2 messages from me under each other while originally there should have been one.

But central country list, a country list from another section could be added for the time being! now I suddenly saw cz under countries.

Now I know that it is easy to adjust, but it looks so clumsy, amateurish. doesn't seem worthy of CATAwiki.

"Country" is a free text field, if all entered countries would be combined in a database list (as happens with Company, Series, Themes and Manufacturer), then I could easily change and merge everything at once.

But that must happen as soon as the central country list is available. It doesn't bother me that much for now.

I just discovered that the fill-in instructions for the Title field have completely disappeared. That seems to be the case in more sections.

Anyone have any idea how long that has been the case and why?

Edit: this problem seems to occur only in sections where the title can be entered in 4 languages.

I just discovered that the entry instructions for the Title field have disappeared completely.

Same problem with "details" in all the sections, it seems.

The latter has been the case for a long time.

Can a programmer take a look at this, please?

How am I supposed to explain to people that their input is not according to the rules, if those instructions are nowhere to be found?
