See item #1832277 . This stamp contains a plate error: the foot is missing from the letter "P" of "CCCP". For comparison, the foot is present on item #7992197 .
Item #9178763 was added with the notation “plate error”, but this turns out to be the same stamp (image) as with item #1832277 .

What is the correct course of action in this case: register item #9178763 as a duplicate, or replace the image for item #1832277 ?

MDuinmaijer since #1832277 has been introduced as a stamp, I would follow the line of briefmarke (who added #9178763 as a plate error) and consider #1832277 as a regular stamp and replace the image at #1832277 (if available).
