Regarding catalogue number
32632, The Treasure of Beersel, Luxury HC edition of 500.
This is priced in the catalog, I'm confused as to what is the correct price?
Is this just the hardcover "The Treasure of Beersel," or is it the package itself, including the booklet "Gold for Rome" (which is also shown as a separate item elsewhere) and the brochure (which, oddly enough, has a print run of 1500, while the hardcover has a print run of 500). My question: please clarify the pricing here. All three items are listed in the accompanying text and shown in the accompanying photos.

If only the HC is meant here, wouldn't it be better to adjust the accompanying photos to show only the intended item to prevent collectors from thinking the package is priced as a whole?

Practical solution:

  • Limit photos to the intended item (the HC).
  • Briefly mention in the accompanying text that a package existed at the time, but that the catalogue price only concerns the HC.
  • This way the catalogue remains pure and the historical context is preserved.

In Details it is stated that the catalogue value is based on the three items mentioned together.

In my opinion, this doesn't correspond with the "entry logic" I mentioned earlier regarding "The complete Collection and the associated art prints, which cannot be cataloged together." That's also a single publication.
In addition, Gold for Rome is also catalogued separately, and The Treasure of Beersel is also catalogued separately.

If individual attachments belong to something, then this can simply be added to the photos and "details" of the item in question.

If you look at the Donald Duck weekly magazine, you'll also see all sorts of duplicate entries. Many "appendices"—images and descriptions—are already included with the issue in the catalog itself, but some are also duplicated in the "magazine supplements" section.

Same here for that folder, that booklet could also have been placed there, but perhaps it simply hasn't been done so far.

In my opinion you are too concerned about prices,
The prices posted on LD are not facts.

Confusing because 1. The HC is not catalogued separately anywhere.
2. The softcover Gold for Rome is catalogued separately.
3. Because Bundles may not be catalogued for other items (for example, The Complete Collection, where the art prints may not be included with the rest of the publication, even though they are part of the publication).
4. I was told the reason was that: it can be sold separately, it is catalogued separately.

The prices posted on LD are not facts.
The catalog values are indeed largely fictitious, but the "LastDodo Shop Revenues" must indeed be a realistic representation of the realized revenues.

With this item, it seems highly unlikely to me that all sales were for the complete package, with retail prices ranging from 37% to 55% of the list price. The items offered in shops (all more expensive) are also completely incomparable because they don't have the same compositions.

I agree with mr1ch that the catalog value should only apply to the catalog item (one album with identically numbered Ex Libris). The originally "free" included album, Gold for Rome ( #32633 ) has a six times greater circulation.
Shops offering the original set have the option to turn it into a combination offer.

PS This case is extra confusing because the deluxe edition has a print run of 500 copies, the Ex Libris 1500, and Gold for Rome (with bookmark) even 3000.

Hence my confusion, it is not clear here what is being catalogued, Bundle or the HC. And in the meantime I have not really become any wiser.
