Vandaag heb ik enkele ontbrekende items ingevoerd. Vervolgens werd ik erop gewezen dat dit niet op de juiste plaats stond. Bij nader inzien ben ik van mening dat ze wél correct waren ingevoerd. De discussie gaat over Artprints die werden bijgeleverd bij 'De complete Collectie' van Suske en Wiske. De 'Deskundigen' oordelen dat die prints ergens ineen uithoek van de catalogus horen en niet bij de strips, terwijl dit wel degelijk striptekeningen zijn. Bijkomend: ze werden uitgebracht als deel van deze stripreeks. Dus mijn bescheiden conclussie is dan ook: als het werd uitgebracht als één geheel, en al het werd gepromoot als één geheel, en als het dan ook nog eens werd verkocht als één geheel: IS HET ééN GEHEEL en moet het worden gecatalogeerd als één geheel, met alle delen vernoemd: de stripbundels én de artprints
Today I entered some missing items. It was then pointed out to me that these were not in the correct place. Upon closer inspection, I believe they were entered correctly. The discussion concerns art prints that were included with "The Complete Collection" of Suske en Wiske. The "Experts" judge that these prints belong somewhere in a remote corner of the catalog and not with the comics, even though they are indeed comic drawings. Furthermore, they were released as part of this comic series. So my modest conclusion is: if it was released as a whole, and everything was promoted as a whole, and if it was also sold as a whole: IT IS ONE WHOLE and should be cataloged as a whole, with all parts listed: the comic collections and the art prints.

Ik krijg de indruk dat beheerders zich verschuilen achter “catalogusregels” zonder oog voor de logica van de uitgave zelf. Dat leid ik althans af uit hun reacties. Daarbij verliezen ze de realiteit uit het oog. Mijn bijdrage is niet subjectief, maar gebaseerd op feiten.
I get the impression that administrators are hiding behind "catalog rules" without regard for the logic of the publication itself. At least, that's what I gather from their reactions. In doing so, they're losing sight of reality. My contribution isn't subjective, but based on facts.
LastDodo volgt z'n eigen logica, dus vertrouw alsjeblieft op de kennis van de beheerders. En probeer de catalogus niet alleen te bekijken vanuit je eigen perspectief als stripverzamelaar, maar als een catalogus voor verzamelaars van alle soorten items.
De rubriek Strips is alleen bedoeld voor voor Stripboeken (hoewel er nog wat tijschriften in staan, en andere restanten van een oude indeling, die nog naar de juiste rubriek verplaatst moeten worden).
Als je Suske en Wiske de Complete Collectie bekijkt zul je zien dat de 5 "Art-prints" al ingevoerd zijn als bijlage van diverse albums. Zulke prenten mogen ook afzonderlijk in de catalogus, maar dan wel in de juiste rubriek: Strip ex-libris en prenten.

P.S. Ik verwijt je niet dat binnen 9 dagen nog niet helemaal snapt hoe LastDodo in elkaar zit, maar heb je op z'n minst het Handboek Strips gelezen?
PS I don't blame you for not fully understanding how LastDodo works after 9 days, but have you at least read the Comics Handbook ?
mr1chMet andere woorden, het “kan” dat de print apart wordt aangeboden, en bij het boek maak je als 1 van de afbeeldingen de link dat de prent er “kan” bijzitten (zoals meestal zou moeten bij nieuwstaat).
