Stamps/What does mint mean!4 messages

Ik heb onlangs voor de eerste keer bij twee verzamelaars zegels gekocht. Bij beide waren de helft van de zegels niet postfris! nochtans wel zo aangekocht. Postfris betekend zegels zonder gebreken. Geen stempels, scheurtjes en met onaangetaste gom als ze met gom zijn uitgegeven. Gewoon de zegel omdraaien en in het licht houden van bv. de computer. Voor vele zal dit waarschijnlijk te veel werk zijn maar ik kan de zegels telkens opnieuw kopen.

I recently bought stamps for the first time from two collectors. At both, half of the stamps were not mint! yet purchased as such. Mint means stamps without defects. No cancellations, tears and with untouched gum if they were issued with gum. Just turn the stamp over and hold it in the light of e.g. the computer. For many this will probably be too much work but I can buy the stamps again and again.

Ai dat was/is niet netjes van genoemde verkopers. Veel verkopers zijn overigens privépersonen die niet altijd de kennis hebben die een handelaar heeft. Een beetje coulance is dan op zijn plaats.

Ik meld het de verkoper altijd. Als het sop de kool waard is (prijstechnisch meestal) dan wil ik de koop nog wel eens ontbinden of daar naar vragen. Dat levert zelden een probleem omdat de verkoper ook gebaat is bij tevreden klanten.

Als de koop netjes ontbonden wordt of ik een normale reactie krijg als ik daar niet per se naar vraag, maar wel meld ... geef ik ook altijd een positief review.

Oh, that was/is not nice of the sellers mentioned. Many sellers are private individuals who do not always have the knowledge that a trader has. A little leniency is then appropriate.

I always report it to the seller. If the juice is worth the squeeze (usually price-wise) then I might cancel the purchase or ask about it. That rarely causes a problem because the seller also benefits from satisfied customers.

If the purchase is properly cancelled or I receive a normal response even though I don't necessarily ask for it, but do report it... I always give a positive review.

Het is god geklaagd op LD wat betreft sommige verkopers. Vandaag een een reeks van Suriname 1948 ontvangen postfris gekocht. De helft.. acht zegels waarvan zes met plakkersporen en twee met gebreken! En ditmaal een pro-verkoper. Ik krijg de indruk dat hoe hoger het lidgeld wordt hoe meer rommel dat ze verkopen. 

It is god damned on LD concerning some sellers. Today a series of Suriname 1948 received mint bought. Half.. eight stamps of which six with hinge marks and two with defects! And this time a pro-seller. I get the impression that the higher the membership fee the more junk they sell.

Misschien is het beter raoulamelinckx om toch even contact op te nemen met de verkoper. Ik denk dat deze zeker voor rede vatbaar is. 

Het kan altijd gebeuren dat er een paar rotte appels tussenzitten. Maar als de verkoper dit oplost lijkt mij er geen probleem. 

Maybe it would be better raoulamelinckx to contact the seller. I think he is certainly open to reason.

It can always happen that there are a few bad apples among them. But if the seller solves this, I don't think there is a problem.
